Hello! Where I can get modded D945GCNL BIOS? Very interesting thing. After lots of years of use USB keyboard stops working but after system is booted it works. Motherboard without defects but some things stops working. No more boots too and impossible to get into BIOS too. Is there possible to reset all motherbord to state like it was new from shop (motherboard micro-controllers software)? Some strange controllers on board in red ring marked. Thanks!!!
I also added picture!!! There are strange behavior of motherboard! Maybe this is not only model of world motherboards which after some time mystically stops working!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Probably not a problem that stops working, but does not always start or not start properly. I have here one computer, exactly the same problem.
For what purpose then are controllers in red ringer? They are near USB, LPT, PS/2 ports, Audio controller, Ethernet, CPU, RAM slots....?
Which editor I need to modify D945GCNL BIOS? I want editor which support to modify everything including remove limits and open hidden functions.
Except two of them (on right bottom) I doubt that are more than controllers for DC-DC step-down power sources. Are near power transistors,so may be that. For two of them,I suppose one is near network controller ond one is near audio codec. And are simpe memory chips like 24c04 93c46 etc Inside is stored some chipset configuration like hardware id,mac address, pin config etc. You need to check what is marked on them then try to identify what is in fact.
On a related note, I recall that hundreds of batches of Intel's D845 & D945 series MoBos were infamous for using poor-quality capacitors. This resulted in erratic functioning & complete failure even before the expiry of the warranty period. I personally experienced one such failure & witnessed two more instances within a short period of time. PS This was just before the "All-Japanese Solid Capacitor" sales pitch gained currency among MoBo vendors.
