I do not want to sound offensive, but you should really tell us which hardware you have, and whether everything really worked with Win7 (i.e. no question marks in Win7 device manager).
i'm sorry if i make a mistake, but i need full drivers for my laptop hp 430. sorry, i just have CD install windows 7.
How can we find drivers when we don't know what hardware you have ? And there is no Ubuntu 14.03 - 13.04 is the latest released version
I'm sorry, I just use ubuntu linux, sorry if I'm wrong names for my linux post . my laptop hp 430 intel core i3 whit radeon..
I'm sure that Ubuntu has working drivers for your HP if it's equipped with Intel i3. Why did you jump to Ubuntu and not stay with Mint? I've got an old (5 years) Dell Laptop and had no issues using Mint 15, nor should you. Like another asked: "What exactly (driver wise) are you missing?" Are you missing the network card's driver? Can't connect to the 'net? That is about the only driver that should, or possibly be, difficult is to a Broadcom network card...but Mint now has proprietary drivers that will install with the package mgr. More info please!
I can only think that the GPU drivers are missing, which happens with NVidia and AMD cards, and needs activating / downloading manually I forget the exact steps but shouldn't be too difficult, Ubuntu has methods build in to install them
That's weird...I knew that Ubuntu/Kubuntu automatically searchin to the Internet for specific drivers to any hardware.Or you had no Internet conection during the install process...
The first time my laptop has windows 7 OS. but my windows 7 OS is damaged, when I reinstall I forgot to backup the data windows 7, and I also forgot that I only have windows 7 installation CD, not with his driver .. and driver windows 7 problem that I am trying to accomplish now.
Rokho, to be frank, I don't think you are 'ready' for Linux, but should stay with Windows 7. Your MBR is probably corrupted by the Linux install. My advice would be to use your Windows disk and do a clean install so everything can be wiped with a format, and try and re-install Windows. Not to offend, please...but how, and on what, are you responding to these messages - it it is your Laptop with Windows 7? Until we get a *complete* understanding of your situation - step by step of what you did it will be impossibe to help you. Also, are you typing this on another computer?
Hi Latin, I was surprised as to finding a proprietary driver so easy also, as I sure didn't with Mint 14. I installed the new Xfce edition and while I was hard wired to the internet after install, I opened the Sym.Package Mgr and did a search for Broadcom (just the one word) and up it popped with BM43.xx or whatever - then clicked on install and the 'net icon came on after a re-boot. Was very surprised as I've had utter hell before with the older Broadcom mini-card drivers. Still working too for me - now going on 2 months or so.
