Just brick my laptop and trying to recover the BIOS by a SPI programmer. The .fd file is greater than my BIOS flash chip which is 8MB. I have followed some posts and trying to use Phoenix Tool to identify paddings of the BIOS. I found the biggest padding is as big as 4MB and start from offset 0 which consums the PE header. Is this area the right padding to cut?
