need help distinguishing those releases

    hi,

    i was going to install server 2008 r2 in my servers hyper v since my license has a key for virtual machine included... the thing is i don't have the dvd anymore so i was googling for the iso using "server 2008 r2 standard x64 oem english".

    i found all this releases... wich one should i pick?

    rtm

    oem

    retail

    volume

    with or without sp1

    i should the server 2008 r2 standard x64 oem english with sp1 but im not sure with all those releases name wich one is the most correct...

    oh thanks that's nice to know. i didn't know about that :D

    i tought i was still like with windows xp where we had to use an cd for oem another for retail and another for corporate... xD

    edit: not to forget home edtion oem or retail and media center edition

    ok just to clarify after googling...

    7601.17514.101119-1850_x64fre_server_en-us_OEM-GRMSXFREO_EN_DVD.iso - OEM
    en_windows_server_2008_r2_with_sp1_x64_dvd_617601. iso - RETAIL
    en_windows_server_2008_r2_with_sp1_vl_build_x64_dv d_617403.iso - CORPORATE

    and if im not mistaken the OEM version is the only one also known as RTM!

    retail and volume are post rtm... and i dont think there are retail or volume RTM and OEM is always RTM

    if im mistaken please correct me :eek:
