Hi there sorry but i searched everywhere and i could not find the links for windows 8 , there are for windows 8.1 but not for windows 8 i am looking to get en-gb_windows_8_x86_dvd_915479.iso cos when i checked in MSDN it says This file contains both Windows 8 and Windows 8 Pro. cos i got s**tty acer iconia w511 and it says windows 8 pro x86 and i would like to reinstall windows , so as i understand if i will get en-gb_windows_8_x86_dvd_915479.iso it will take the key from the bios of windows 8 pro and it will active automatic many thanks gugutm
well i dont know from the experience when i fixing laptop and if they with window 8 i use windows 8 en_windows_8_x64_dvd_915440.iso but if i put en-gb_windows_8.1_with_update_x64_dvd_6051481.iso its ask to enter the product key, and as example if i got windows 8.1 computer already windows 8 version doesnt work anymore, so now you are advising me to go in windows 8.1 but is it will catch the key windows 8.1 of windows 8 from the bios????/
Is a msdn 8.1 iso capable of reading out the oemm bioskey? I always use the Multi_Oem_Project by The_Guardian to reinstall on systems with 8.x oemm options.
Ok than i got another question what if i updated to windows 10 will it save the key in the bios of windows 10? and will i be able to install windows 10 straight away , and is it will pick up the key from the bios?
Win7/8/8.1 entitle to win 10 upgrade or ny installation. In other words, you'll be able to upgrade your system if you wish or make a clean install using the very same key (at least this is true from version 1511 of win 10)
once you look into how win 10 activation work.. you get an answer. when you upgrade it stores a HardWareID on MS server of your pc hardwares.. in future reinstall auto activates on it.
When a hwid is established you don't need to insert any key anymore at new clean installs from boot, just skip it. It also is on 10240 (th1), 1511 and up also can use the oemm bioskey, 10240 couldn't. Is 8.0 also entitled to directly upgrade to 10, i thought it was excluded (only 8.1)?
