Hello. I need a XP iso to download. I have my cd and box w key. But when I try installing it gets to about 40% and gives me a error about copying wbdbase.nld. after googing I see it could be from a bad dvd reader. So I tried cleaning that and the disc. same result. I have just tried using imgburn to copy the disc and burn to usb but i am getting a unreadable sector error or something. Any help would be appreciated. I have XP Pro SP2 and it's the gold cd says student edition 2004. I am guessing my key will only work for this exact one so need the iso.
btw. Does the copy have to be student edition or can it just be any xp pro w. sp2 and my key still work?
Sorry one last question. What is the best free program to copy the iso to usb? I don't see that option on imgburn.
Thanks. Unfortunately I tried iso to usb for hours and everytime it would get started with burning to the usb the program would freeze and not respond. A new problem now...I burned to the usb but when I boot with it all I get is a black screen with a white flashing line in the top left corner?
