Hi! I`m trying to fix my old Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I9100 but i have problem and i don`t know how to solve this. When i power on my phone i get the yellow triangle and the message "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again" I have Kies but phone won`t connect. I try to Flash using original firmware with Odin but fails every time. I really need help. I have Samsung usb drivers on my pc. Odin detect my phone but i just cant find the way to fix the phone! Thanks!
back in time when I used Samsung kies I always made a full phone backup to my HD, before kies updated the phone to a new firmware and it never failed to connect, maybe there is something wrong with the phone USB bridge.
Forget Kies. It's useless here. Your phone is stuck in a low level state. Odin is the way to go. I am familiar with the Galaxy series. My first one was Galaxy S and I did a lot of stuff myself and also posted over on XDA.
I tried to flash again. It starts normally but after 2 min i get failed. Now my phone wont turn on? It`s dead 100%. Now I don`t know what to do... Any idea ? Thanks
Can you post more details what you did? Which exact model / which firmware / what happened at Odin and so on... When you remove battery and insert it again, can you go to download mode? This mode is the basic level and should still work. From there you can flash anything again. Make sure your battery has at least 50%+ charge or Odin might refuse to flash. Samsung Galaxy S series is actually hard to brick completely.
