Need help with updating windows (no upgrading windows)

    Hi,
    i wrote on hp forum but didn't resolve my problem

    when i'm downloading from Windows Update or throught Windows Update Catalog using firefox downloader or IDM my internet goes off and i have to turn on/off my router.

    But i can download film,games,music eccc...
    P.S.:i have WIN10 1703 15063

    What is the problem?

    Do an alternative way exist to download updates?

    Maybe you blocked MS via any Firewall?! Or even the Hosts file?! Problem could also be Modem/Router related!

    I have formatted my pc, now i'm using Windows Defender + Malwarebytes but before i had the same problem with Bitdefender Total Security.
    I thought about last option but i can't figure out why downloading with idm,firefox,steam i don't have problems :(

    Is your windows installed from an untouched iso? Or did you ran any of the privacy apps/cmd's?
