Need some help recovering bad flash

    yes i do
    i formatted it and its bootable

    i ran awdflash with both files that are moded with no success
    i keep getting bios not award or something

    on the HP site it says its award bios and when i turn the computer on

    i get this message
    award boot block bios

    bios rom checksum error

    detecting ide ....

    detecting floppy


    so which should i use?
    award or ami?
    and if it is ami do i change the file 507.rom to amiboot.rom?

    You are correct. I was looking at another HP bios I had here. Yours is Award.

    You can change the extension to .bin and try awardflash. Uniflash may be an option also..

    i got the same message
    it is not award bios!

    i did the awdflash 507.bin /py/sn/f/cc/r

    and it didnt work

    anything else can i try?

    Recovery from bios corruption hell:)

    Hardware:
    HP A1710N
    NODUSM3 - ASUS A8M2N-LA
    AMD Athlon 64 x2 +4200
    ATi HD 4770
    2GB PC-5300
    Windows 7 Ultimate x64

    Flashed with AWDFLASH after changing the HP update files from .rom to .bin. Opened the dl'ed HP files with winrar. I used a dos image that I modded with the AWDFLASH file and renamed bios. I had a SUPER detailed post BUT I am blocked due to in containing URLs.. What BS!

    I'm on Twitter, xbox, and PSN at DD07290AH. My computer with all three bios updates have been tested with the 32bit geekbench and are posted at the geekbench website under Lord_Anarchy
