I lost my admin password from my Dell D830, the same password is also needed to change settings in the Bios(version A13).
    The servicetag is: JWR5Y3J
    Systemnumber is: JWR5Y3J-595B

I also want to install Windows 7 and without the admin password it's just not possible to change the boot sequence in the Bios.

    Please help me!!!!!

    Thanx!!!!

The 2 of you(Bailey and Sebus) were idd right, I wasn't able to change the bootsequence without the proper password, so I was very happy when I saw your 2 comments.
I downloaded the dell.exe file on a different laptop, and YES, it worked!!!!!!!
I'm allready busy installing Windows 7 now, you guys made my day!!

    http://dogber1.blogspot.com/2009/05/table-of-reverse-engineered-bios.html

The Inspiron 1501 is a generic Phoenix BIOS, not a Dell-Phoenix BIOS. I'm not sure if the input to the tool is the "11532", but here's some passwords to try:

    Code:
Master Password Generator for Phoenix BIOS (five decimal digits version)
    Copyright (C) 2009 dogbert <dogber1@gmail.com>

After entering the wrong password for the third time, you will receive a
decimal number from which the master password can be calculated,
    e.g. 12345

    Please enter the number:
    11532

    Brute forcing passwords...
    Generic Phoenix BIOS: zuds
    HP/Compaq Phoenix BIOS: odaoejf
    FSI Phoenix BIOS (generic): 36686
FSI Phoenix BIOS ('L' model): 684935
FSI Phoenix BIOS ('P' model): 89531
FSI Phoenix BIOS ('S' model): 81992
FSI Phoenix BIOS ('X' model): 46446

    done.

Please note that the password has been encoded for the standard US
    keyboard layout (QWERTY).
    Press a key to exit...

Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...

You posted a link to a Dell BIOS reset tool which is now gone. I am in need of a tool like this for newer Dell laptops. I have Googled this and found nothing for the newer machines. Is there any possibility you have access to the program that was linked in your reply? Thanks for your time.
