Neet to modify ESXi 4.1 bios for Dell slic

    Hi all , newbie here.
    I have been searching in circles trying to find tutorial/tools to modify the ESXi BIOS. Searches find links to threads, with links to other threads with links to files that are now gone.
    I have found Pix's excellent EsxBiosTools.v1.1.2 and I have successfully extracted bios440.rom, but I can't seem to find the tools/instructions on how to actually modify this file to add the Dell SLIC. Maybe I'm being dim, but I really have searched a lot.

    If anyone can point me to the tools/instructions, I'd be very grateful! Feel free to flame me if it's somewhere obvious :)

    Thanks! I had seen that thread, but hadn't read it closely enough. Looks like that's what I need.

    would you post the VMware BIOS with the Dell SLIC?

    I have a Dell server with Dell Windows 2008R2 and it won't activate
    under VMWARE but activates on the server of course...

    was in the subject of my post

    but I'll put my request to post modded vmware 4.1 BIOS here in the body of my post. Is anyone willing to post the VMware bios the way it has been posted hundreds of times for "real" machines in the forums? those of us who rode the short bus to school would be very appreciative.

    the tool in the linked thread is unavailable no matter how i try to get at it. ould someone just PM me where i can get the ROM with slic 2.1 inserted? I have dell media and would love to be able to use it in VMs

    Yes, they ARE identical (I double checked it) - but my link is modded BIOS from from vSphere 4.1
