.NET Framework 4 installation goes on for ever

    Hiya,
    I trying to install .NET Framework 4 Standalone Setup on a Win7/64 and the installation goes on for quite literally for hours.
    I already tried couple of times again with a brand new downloaded version of the Standalone package and the installation still ends up each time hanging in the air o_O
    Did anoyone else encounter such a smiliar case?
    If yes does please anyone have solution to this issue?

    Run it as Admin instead.. even if your account is set as Administrator

    Found the quickest way was to do it through windows update.

    Had a similar issue with .NET 3.5 SP1 - despite of the fact it was the full installer it was downloading like hell, disabled LAN , worked perfectly then - strange anyway
