Yes I confirm, in 7850 only .NET Framework 4 comes pre-installed. Older versions of it are available to install in "Turn Windows functions on or off".
Well, .NET Framework 1.1 is completely removed from Windows 8 7850, versions lower than 4 and greater than 1.1 are available to install from Control Panel, as I said before.
chbaldo Thanks for the confirmation. Thus, Windows 8 users do not have waste time installing older versions of .NET Framework.
How do I install Net framework 2? There is no option on "Turn Windows functions on or off" and the setup doesn't work (wont let me install it)? Thanks.
Call me crazy but doesnt Windows 8 have .net 3.5 and .net 3.5 requires 2.0 & 3.0? Windows 7 does not have the option to add remove .net 2.0
Does anyone know this? I assumed that 3.5 was an update of all the previous versions and that everything worked in 3.5 that worked in previous versions?
An update for the framework always comes with a new visual studio, cause new programming features in visual studio must be supported by the framework in order to run the program.
