Cheers, I'll give it a test later, at the moment I have 185 installed, which is a beta, but it actually recognizes Windows 7 during the set up. PS I don't have any issues with games that I had before the release.
Thanks - going to try them - I have nVidia GeForce 8800 GT card - currently using the M/S supplied drivers. ETA - the new drivers don't have the 1400 x 1050 option I like - back to the pre-release WDDM 1.1.
Thanks, I never knew that. ETA - I re-installed, tried the Custom Resolution, it wouldn't "take". Failed the Test. I am having no issues with the pre-release WDDM 1.1 drivers, so I'll leave well enough alone. Thanks again for the tip - it is good to learn stuff.
Out publically. I'm using v185 on 7000-x64. It even says Windows 7 when you run it. But if v181 is officially released then it's probably stable (well as stable as you can get on a beta OS)
Windows 7? I have an nvidia 6200 and it worked fine with xp, but when I installed Windows 7 Beta (32 bit) and installed the nvidia driver via windows update, it gives the code 43 error. I can set the resolution, but not the refresh rate. Any ideas? Btw, the card works fine in xp, it's not the card. I've also downloaded the drivers from nvidia, specifying my specs as geforce, 6 series, vista 32, they installed but no change.
I have GeForce 8800GT card - can't set the refresh rate on it either. I haven't been able to in any of the Win 7 installs I have done - 32 or 64 bit. I even tried to set up a custom resolution in the Nvidia Control Panel - no luck. Welcome to beta world
