    You should add number, something like:
    1. Understanding editions

    1.1--32 or 64 bit?
    1.2--Activation types

    2 Getting Office

    2.1--Purchasing Office
    2.2--Home Use Program.
    2.3--Student Discount (aka Ultimate Steal aka itsnotcheating)
    2.4--Downloading Office

    2.4.1--Direct Pro Plus Retail links:
    2.4.2--Hashs of popular images
    ....

    How do we know if the file hash is the real thing?
    Is there any direct proof?

    Hard to give any direct proof, since there is no English VOLUM edition on MSDN/Technet. You have to combine two editions, etc the Norwegian VOLUM edition with the English RETAIL edition. But then you don't have any of the MD5 or SHA-1 or CRC-32 data from both of them. You get a new one. And every person that makes a VOLUM edition this way, will get different results.

    There is no direct proof of authenticity of the hashes, but I have the ISO and installed it.

    The hashes and filenames of ISO have been confirmed by three different members, so it has to be the real thing.

    May I ask where you got your iso?

    I also have the vl iso with the same hash as you posted as a torrent, but was reluctant to install it. I tried googling the file name:

    SW_DVD5_Office_Professional_Plus_2010_W32_English_MLF_X16-52536.ISO

    It must have like a million hits, even with the same hash, even from open servers. I never heard anything bad about it either. I guess a million people can't be wrong...

    But still, it would be nice to see a direct micsoft link, like they have on technet...

    But it's Homemade...do you think the person that make the .iso put it on his website? I have created my own Enligsh VL .iso files from Norwegian MSDN/Technet VOLUM edition and the English RETAIL edition. Since I have both a MSDN/Technet account I have downloaded the files directly. So I know they are 100% safe.
    But if I share my homemade English VL edition, nobody can be sure that the .iso file is clean. Since there is no proof of it on MSDN/Technet.
    So people have the choice of trusting the people that put out files like this, or go in the store and buy a copy and then be 100% safe. I think most of the stuff you download from MDL is safe to use. But you never know...

    The version of office (MICROSOFT.OFFICE.2010.SELECT.EDITION.RTM.VOLUME.X8 6.DVD.ENGLISH-WZT) is very hard to find, even USENEXT doesn't have it. I finally found 2 on the torrents & d/l them. I did a hash check on both & only one of them matched with the hashes on page 1, so does that mean that the one that doesn't match is not safe to install???

    Do not require a ... during installation? A product key?

    I think you missed a word or two in this sentence.

    Thanks for this repository, great work.

    Fixed

    Tuvi's method is manual, so you will have to reactivate again within 180 days. Which is why the automated ways in the toolkits exist.

    Hi guys. There are two excellent codes for manually activation via ZWT KMS emulator for Office Volume created by MasterDisaster, but as I have a few posts I can not post links yet, so you can find the codes in post 47 and post 77 in the first Office 2010 Repository made by WinFLP.

    I actived my Office with the second code and after i tested the first and actived it smoothly too.

    I hope I have helped.

    @MasterDisaster
    Thanks for these great codes.

    @WinFLP
    Thanks for this useful thread.

    I think this is the code you were describing by MasterDisaster

    "The following code will activate Office products individually i.e., it will try to activate a product for a maximum of 10 times until it displays a failure message. Same instructions as before.
    Place the Keygen along with this batch file
    Run as Administrator on First run"

    Code:
    @echo off
    mode con: cols=60 lines=10
    title Office Volume Activator
    setlocal EnableDelayedExpansion
    wmic path OfficeSoftwareProtectionService where Version='14.0.370.400' call SetKeyManagementServiceMachine MachineName="localhost" > NUL 2>&1
    start /B /D "%~dp0" Keygen.exe >NUL
    for /f "tokens=2 delims==" %%A in ('"wmic path OfficeSoftwareProtectionProduct where (LicenseStatus^>0 and LicenseFamily LIKE "%%KMS_Client%%") get id /format:list"') do call :activate %%A
    taskkill /IM "Keygen.exe" /F >NUL
    exit

    :activate
    set /a max=0
    set skuid=%1
    call set skuid=!skuid: =!
    cls
    Echo.
    Echo Attempting to activate the following product:
    for /f "tokens=2 delims==" %%x in ('"wmic path OfficeSoftwareProtectionProduct where ID='!skuid!' get Name /format:list"') do set name=%%x
    Echo.
    Echo SKU ID: !skuid!
    Echo Name: !name!
    set /p var=Activation Attempts... <NUL
    :act
    wmic path OfficeSoftwareProtectionProduct where ID='!skuid!' call Activate > NUL 2>&1
    set /a k=0
    set /a max=%max%+1
    set /p var=%max%<NUL
    for /f "tokens=2 delims==" %%x in ('"wmic path OfficeSoftwareProtectionProduct where ID='!skuid!' get GracePeriodRemaining /format:list"') do set gpr=%%x
    if %gpr% lss 259200 set /a k=1
    if %max% lss 10 if %k% EQU 1 goto act
    set /a gpr=%gpr%/60/24
    Echo.
    Echo Remaining Period: %gpr% day(s)
    Echo.
    IF %gpr% EQU 180 ( echo Product Activation Successful
    ) ELSE ( echo Product Activation Failed )
    ping -n 5 localhost > NUL 2>&1
    "Note: The program will quit automatically after 5 seconds."
