New OOBE in 79xx

    I noticed this picture over at another site:

    This is from M3 i'm assuming. Looks like Microsoft is moving away from the little window in the middle to a more "immersive" OOBE.

    I recreated the image for fun, anyone have any more pictures of the new OOBE by chance?

    My opinion is that, Blackscreen is better than Bluescreen :D

    I like the black screen however I found the ERROR_MESSAGES and SOMEFILE.SYS messages to be quite useful when helping people. Now I just have 0x0? messages. Hopefully it'll be changed or an option.

    I think in win3.1 they put Gate's horse in the bootsccreen.


    ---woops!, Sorry, not "bootscreen", you have to boot into DOS, then start windows.
