    Hi everyone, new here.

I've tried to use the new Outlook app on Win11 24H2, build 26100.3194, but instead of opening, it errors out saying "Installation failed. The Microsoft Edge Webview2 Runtime is already installed on the system."

Also tried to manually updating the aforementioned Webview2 Runtime by downloading the latest version from Microsoft Update Catalog... when I click it also errors out: "Unknown installer error."

The options to change or repair the Webview Runtime in Windows Settings are greyed out.

By any chance have you blocked or removed Edge? Outlook is no longer an app, it Edge's shortcut.

Nope. Just updated Edge to the latest version. For some unknown reason trying to open the Outlook PWA, it tries to install the Webview2 Runtime again.

I don't use there Built in Outlook because did not work well to connect my Mail server.. SO, I had to use Office 2021 or 2024 Outlook and works better than the Windows built in Outlook (classic) which i call them classic..:)

It is better to use 3rd party apps. MS apps on android work flawlessly, but not on Windows, I can not even use Outlook email on Outlook client with 3rd party login on Windows, MS blocked it, but no problem on android. So I use free Mailbird.

Office Outlook is proper Outlook. Native Win32 App. Not this PWA rubbish they want us to use.

Download Edge Webview2 Runtime (Evergreen Standalone Installer x64)
then run it as administrator, it should install then you can run outlook and it’ll run just fine. Seems like a a weird bug but this is how it’s fixed.
