Hello MDL, I am new here and I hope you can help. I did some searching but couldn't find what I needed.. I just purchased and received a new DELL 8910, Windows 10, etc.. I have and like Office Pro 2003. I do not have the disk anymore but have found a solid download of it, however when I try to install I am getting the dreadfull "SETUP.INI file is missing". Does anyone here know how to make this work? I am currently using sp2 as well, which is what my key is for, thanks. Thank you!!
I have read that it does in fact work. Here are some links.. youtube . com/watch?v=5AjQxe5aJFA (a video showing it does work) nsrdl . com/apps/en_office_2003_pro.iso (a download for 2003 for windows 10) links edited to be able to show them..
SOLUTION... I contact Microsoft via chat. Told them my issue, and they gave me office 2010 as a resolution. Great job Microsoft for standing behind your motto of you should only ever have to buy a program once. Thank you.
Yes it does works. You can manually download Office 2003 SP3 which is the latest one.. However that Windows Updates does not show in Office 2003, It show office 2007 or later will do Updates..
I have installed Office 2016 and Office 2003 SP3 because I use Office Frontpage (Office 2003 was the last distribution including Frontpage) on my Windows 10 AU. It does work.

(have an ssd) greets
I have installed Office 2003 on 2 different computers running Windows 10 and it works just fine. Obviously, the copy of Office you downloaded is not so "solid". It is missing a file. You are not having a problem with Windows 10, you have a broken copy of Office.
