    Hi Guys,

Sorry that my first post is a question, but i'm currently locked out of my PC,
I'm getting a message saying that i need to enter a valid product key. I installed win7 a few weeks ago and was not aware that i would be locked out after 30days (total newbie - appoligies). Anyways ive done a good search (here and elsewhere) and i am unsure as to what i can do. I can see that a lot of people here use a windows 7 loader - however i currently cant get into my OS (win7 ultimate AFAIK).

Has anyone any suggestions? Any help would be much appreciated.

    thanks a lot,

    Ger.

Boot in "Safe mode", then run command prompt and slmgr /rearm. :D

    Hey guys,

thanks for all of the replies, very helpful,

After i tried the key (dre022) it came with a message saying that the key was for the wrong version that i infact have win7 enterprise installed, however it then allowed me access to the pc where i was able to put in the command prompt (slmgr /rearm),

thanks a lot all your help,

one thing though - ive read that this rearm only works a number of times - are there any permenant fixes out for this issue yet (any keys available etc)? or should i wait and see if soimething comes in the future?

    Cheers,

    Ger.

p.s. the win7 i installed was a version i got through rapidshare (i got rid of the vista which the pc originally came with)

I recommend you to get Ultimate instead of fancy Enterprise. There's not really a good point for Enterprise on a non work machine or some (in my opinion).

With Ultimate you'll have much more options to activate like BIOS mod, Daz's Loader, Infinite Rearm (ok, not really an activation thing, tho), RemoveWAT, DeathWAT, Chew7 and so on.

Sorry to butt in but this, in my humble opinion is the best solution for you. I run two hard drives internal one contains W7 Ult. and Vista Ult. Second drive runs XP pro sp3 and partitioned as the first dual boot to linux instead of Windows. I used the daz loader since it is program based instead of trying to mess with the mod. Authentication runs, Activated for life and updates are cherry. Loaded Daz's loader once on W7 Ultimate and everything got activated with the exception of Linux Opa tool is also great. Can't say enough about these guys except not expendables.
