....and I found it because I was looking for an answer regarding "This copy of Windows is not genuine / build 7601" So the history of this system... it's a ZT system, at least 2 years old, puchased from Costo. Win7, 64 bit and it's been fine. I activated the Win7, downloaded at least one update, then cut them off. The system has been absolutely fine until I shut it off early this August. I went on vacation and 2.5 weeks later came back, turned it on and the first thing that occurred was the BIOS had to be regenerated from some internal copy, but it lit up fine and other than this persistent Windows message, the system operates fine. So I'm wondering if after 30 days, the system will shut down, ie.. When you don't activate the OS on a new system. Or is there something that will get rid of the message or its cause. I found an answer on this forum from 2011, but the links to the resolution no longer worked. Any help here? thx
