    Infos & Links

    Downloads

I shall try to post download links in case of the initial leaks, hopefully a member would eventually start a thread for downloads of various editions, languages, LP's, ...., etc. and I shall link to his thread.

    Activation

Windows 8.1 is updated with KMS V6, Office 2013 installed in win8.1 also has to be activated thru KMS V6 channel, the current popular KMS tools are for KMS V5 and is not able to activate win8.1/Office2013.

If there would be a possible new activation method, and a thread started on this subject, I shall also link to it.

Meanwhile, you can refer to @Yen's thread with detail description/discussions on O.A. 3.0 used in win8 and win8.1.

    http://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/34580-Windows-8-preinstalled-licenses-AKA-OA2-2-and-OA3-0

Presently what users could upgrade is by legit win8 keys, and you can also use the WMC keys to activate win8.1Pro+WMC, actually it is quite easy to make a Win8.1Pro+WMC installer, I have made a X86 ISO and uploaded, but can not post the links in MDL, please refer to this thread for the guidelines:

    BY-pass CPU check for NX/PAE/SSE2 and (for win8.1 X64) CMPXCHG16b/PrefetchW/LAHF/SAHF

If your CPU doesn't support the bits required in win8/win8.1 or win8.1 X64, you can refer to this thread by @Jan1 to patch the systems files and install.

It works for win81 preview build 9431, presumably it could also work for the RTM, but could only be confirmed when the RTM is out and could be actually tested:

Install win8/win8.1 EUFI mode, installer with a large wim and is larger than 4GB

The recently leaked win8.1 build 9477 X64 is 3.8GB, so if you streamline something into the wim it could easily pass the 4GB mark, let alone try to make a AIO, and it would cause a problem if you wish to install in UEFI mode.

This thread proposed methods to solve the problem, if you don't wish to use the EFI shell method posted in OP/post#2, other members had also posted alternative methods in the thread.

6.3 Interesting. I wonder if that means they are using whole new infrastructure rather than patching up a few things...
I'd love to get my hands on an en-US leak when it comes out :)
