I've been trying to get this reasonably old, yet fast enough systems BIOS, but Acer does not seem to list one available for it. It's an Acer Extensa E210 Desktop with a Acer F690GVM mainboard. It is running a Phoenix Bios reporting as v6.00. Is it possible to backup my BIOS from the chip itself, upload it and ask for a MOD to be made for it (if so, how?) or is there a better alternative solution? It's even listed on the Acer website as being XP, Vista and 7 compatible, but strangely has not had no BIOS updates in 4 years!
Hello Deja! I don't suppose you got anywhere with this? I am currently battling to update the BIOS as I am convinced the e210 and A690GM2MA are one and the same board. I keep running in to problems and beginning to lose hope that its a possibility. Did you manage to flash that BIOS on to you E210 Mobo? Hope you see this and thanks for the initial detective work!
Hi, I also own an Extensa 210. Please let me know if u solved this, because I need that rom file too.
