Hi everyone, Just installed via dual boot (7955) to my desktop. Everything is working great. All of my apps are working. However in the device manager, only one of my cd/dvd drives are recognized. The Dvd Burner (TS-H653B) isn't showing. Is this because the build is still under construction. Are there any other users out there who can't use their dvd burners on this build (7955). Are there any solutions. I did re-install using bluedefuse, but timebomg is still showing. I guess I will see what happens after 7/1/11. Cheers everyone. Programs successfully install: ccleaner, MS Essentials (compat mode:Win 7) Malwarebytes, Adobe Reader X, Opera Next, Chrome, Spybot, Auslogic Disk Defrag, Office 2007 (I would use Office 2010 but I only have the 64 bit version). My driver for my sound card (Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty) is working good as well as my 1gb GeForce 9600GT.
You could be correct, but both dvd drives are present in my other os (windows 7 Ultimate x64). Since this is another OS completely different from 7. Would it need different drivers?
dvd burners I have 2 dvd burners and win8 does recongnize both burners..must of the time I don't use M$ burning app I normally use powerISO. But if U want to use win 8 to burn ISO's or other files to a dvd do this: if Ur burning a iso right click on it and select send to then click on the dvd drive u want to use and it will burn it to the dvd...hope this helped U.
No, in Windows 8, it doesn't show the device. Here are pics from both Win 7 and Win 8. As you can see on Win 7, it shows both DVD Drives.
Hi, I am using Windows 8 build 7955 and I was facing the same problem. The OS did`nt see my LG HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-H42N dvd drive. To sort this problem out first of all I restarted my PC and inserted the windows 8 7955 disc and begin to boot the disc. Then after the setup screen appears after booting the disc cancel the setup. The PC restarts . Then log into your Windows operating System. When you`re logged in go to my computer and see that if shows the drive now or not! If it shows the drive then quickly open device manager and under dvd/cdrom device uninstall your current drive drivers. Once the driver for the drive has been uninstalled than quickly click action menu and in it select scan for hardware changes which results in permanent installation of your dvd rom drivers. NOTE**WHILE FOLLOWING THESE STEPS YOU SHOULD NOT EJECT THE WINDOWS INSTALLATION DISC** Now once hardware is recognized eject the disc and restart the computer and see the change.......... _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ you can try this steps. It has worked for me. I hope that it will works for you too.
