No sound after windows reinstall

    I recently reinstalled Windows XP on my PC, but for some odd reason I no longer have sound...

    The onboard chip no longer functions, widnows cant find my onboard sound device.

    help?

    How about the drivers? This is the first thing I'd look for. Oh, and those on-board sound devices are to be disabled in the BIOS setup.
    But I don't think that really happened; just to make sure...

    Yea it where the drivers... sound is back :)

    another, small, question... how I do remove that annoying windows login screen? I'm the only user using this computer, so no need for me to type in a password...

    You go in the start menu, then click onto your icon and remove your password. Then WinXP should start right after booting...

    type on run menu Control Userpasswords2 then unchek on usermust enter a user .,....

    keep it blank.... ok
