The F8 (or Esc) function to the Advanced Startup Options was stripped off after and including Windows 8 (during boot), for faster bootup (if I'm correct). You will need a bootable Windows 8.x DVD or Recovery DVD to access. Or I believe through the Metro Control Panel as well.
try this in cmd or create shortcut.... Code: shutdown.exe /r /o /t 0 It should restart to avanced startup.
Hi, thanks a lot. I timed the time to reboot with your order and without, I turned off the password for connection. It is pretty much the same. Why then skip this step? Thanks again. Wiki.
