    Hi guys,

I have a simple and pretty straightforward question.
Is it (technically, but mostly realisticly speaken) possible to mod the GUI of an AMI Aptio UEFI rom file?
For example edit the background color or change the "Dell Inc." string in the upper-left corner?

I have done so with an MSI motherboard.
Used Phoenix Tool to open the bios.
Go Advanced and select "Allow user to modify other modules" then click "Done". Select a Slic & press "Go".
Browse to your Dump folder. Rename the files from rom to bmp.
Changed view to Large Icons & just scrolled through. You will see which files are Graphic. My bios had jpg, bmp & even Animated gif!
Match the size & replace whatever you want. Rename from bmp back to rom.

Note that in my case I actually did not want to add Slic so with this new compiled bios I extracted the modules I changed with mmtool & replaced them in the original rom.

    Good luck buddy!
