This topic is kinda old, but I think it was not mentioned here. You can get free NAV trial for 6 months. You need to download special installer from: "Facebook Web Page Dual - Norton". It's multi-language version. It says 2012, but it's in fact 2013. You can perform update to 2014 anyway. You can setup Norton management account. The only limitation is that, You must install it on a PC without Norton AntiVirus. If You had trial before or full version, this trial will not apply.

Even if it was lifetime & $20 extra rebate, still would not touch it....

Would you say the same for Avast Free. I have a KIS 2014 licence but do not use it. I tried Avast Free and found it to be good. Would it be a worthwhile install (a) on its own (b) compared with MSE and KIS. Have win 8.

Avast Antivirus Free was giving me BSOD sometimes after restoring from hibernation.
Avira Free Antivirus have ads and is only in few languages.
NOD32 Antivirus was doing something strange with my hard drive. Had to wait sometimes for it to stop.
Norton AntiVirus have many false positives.
KAV makes my PC run really slow.
G-DATA Antivirus corrupts streams. Often getting error on web pages.
No complains about AVG and McAfee.

What if the trial gets over? I would recommend the paid version of Norton or any other popular software like AVG, Immunet Plus, Avira, Bitdefender, Comodo, Bullguard etc. Paid version often comes with extra features and enhanced security and offers a better value for money.

When trial is over I will probably buy full version. This trial is not limited.
