Hi all I'm a newbie to your site, so please bare with me. I have just burnt and installed a copy of windows 7 ultimate . I installed "remove wat" and everything is working great. I now get the message at the bottom right hand of the desktop, "Windows 7. build 7601. This copy of windows is not genuine." If I go into system properties the message auto erases. My question is, what is happening here ? Is this normal and should I be concerned ? If it's not normal is there a way to stop it appearing again. I always make sure that file "KB109733" is unticked when downloading updates. I am only concerned that eventually it might trash my OS. Any info would be appreciated. Gus 106
Help! Hi, Noob alert here.. My brother was the one installing my PC, like couple years ago, and somehow my daughter used my Admin account and updated the windows. Great.. Now I'm getting the Windows 7 Build 7600 This copy of Windows is not genuine. So, I installed the WatFix and run it, restarted, Installed Windows Loader 2.1.2, getting the v2.1 on the detail and restarted, But still getting the not genuine message. I tried the Legacy mode on advanced tab and restarted, still unsuccessful.. Help me anyone!!! EDITED Re-researching this site, and tried a method: Downloaded&installed MBR Regenerator (because Wat Fix wouldn't fix it) to start-off a clean slate, and restarted, Run Win Loader 2.1.2, restarted VOILA!! Success!!! You guys are the best!! Cheers, isma
