I upgraded my Vista Ultimate 64 system using Windows 7 Ultimate RTM. Everything is running very nicely, with one exception: I cannot get any of the troubleshooters to launch. As an example, when I try to use the network troubleshooter, I get a popup that says:

    An error occured while troubleshooting:

An unexpected error has occurred. The troubleshooting wizard can't continue.

    Package ID: Network Diagnostics
    Path: C:\Windows\diagnostics\system\networking
    Error code: 0x80131700
    Source: Engine
    User: xxxxxxxx
    Context Elevated

Any ideas about how I might fix this would be greatly appreciated.

Did you try Googling the error code? Maybe to find a Microsoft support article or something on it...

Wouldn't hurt to have all updates from Microsoft Update installed, as well as the localized help topics instead of receiving help from the internet. Did you install an untouched copy of Windows 7 Ultimate RTM Retail or OEM?
