I'm trying to create an OEM SLP CD, that doesn't require entering the key during install. But at the same time, that CD should be able to do a repair install.

I've tried using the unattended install, winnt.sif to add the key. But say if I want to a repair install, the screen will just skip forward to the partition menu. I've tried all the possible options in winnt.sif to no avail, even an almost blank on with just the ProductKey entry.

If I use a HP OEM SLP CD without winnt.sif, I can do a repair install.

    Any ideas?

thanks for the suggestion, tried that earlier though. while that will add the key automatically during install, it will not let you do a repair install using that cd

True, if you need repair, you can start the repair with CD that does NOT have winnt.sif
