Ok i have a retail version of 7 professional which i have installed on my main desktop. I also have a toshiba laptop that only had slic2.0 so i used a mod from here to upgrade it to slic2.1 then i used the dell win 7 professional serial and certificate from this site and bingo my windows 7 professional on the toshiba laptop was activated and genuine. I then try a dell optiplex 755 that came with vista - according to rw-everything it already has slic2.1 so i install my windows 7 professional on it, use the same serial and certificate as used previously, reboot, but it still says windows is not activated? don't see why it worked on the toshiba laptop but not on the dell desktop? here's some reports rw-everything sendspace.com/file/ud0640 and some stuff from the OEMdump program sendspace.com/file/xkahud maybe i'm missing something obvious????? thanks for any help

um...cough...oops...i couldhave sworn it said something different when i ran it it said something like 20 00 01 02 - i know off by heart that 20 00 00 00 is version 2.0 - perhaps i was looking at the wrong line. I was originally usig a version of rw that was a few months old that kept craching and givinfg out errors which is where i thought it said slic2.1 i uninstalled it ans installed the latest version just before i posted this and it's from that version the reports came from...

kind of solved - i found a modded dell optiplex 755 A17 bios on here and flashed with it - all activated now
personally I like to use SLIC Dump toolkit as you can also check serials and certs to make sure they match
