    Hi,

Is it possible to convert OEM installation to VLK and how do i go about it? I installed using DELL OEM CD but it is not activating since SLP is not being inserted properly in my BIOS.

    Thanks

    Check this out!

    Corporate To OEM Utility=VLK_TO_OEM

This is what you need. Easy.

Get the coresponding (that match SLP 1.0 table's brand) oem files (compressed ones) from HERE, place them in the app folder and run VLK_TO_OEM.exe. Then option 4 does the thing.

Your bios need to be flashed and added SLP 1.0 table to it if it doesn't have one. I can help you with that, just say it !

    ENJOY!

    Hi,

My installation is already DELL OEM. I have the DELL OEMBIOS files and the DELL Product Key. But it is not activating since there is no SLP entry on my BIOS. I tried using Andy's AMITool 1.40 but the SLP does not seem to be written properly hence the activation problem. What I am trying to do is the reverse process. Change the OEM install to VLK so that I can activate it a different way. If this is not possible maybe you can give me a link to the HP_DMI_Tool so that I can give it a shot? The link here is down.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Thanks for the suggestion. Will keep those files handy. Was able to activate OEM SLP by changing the OEMBIOS files and SLP string to ASUS. It seems the tool I use to modify the SLP has some problems when using Dell Computer as SLP string.

    Thank you very much!

You needa bios mod to add Dell Computer slp string because of where it goes in memory normal DMI tools cant add it.
