I am doing a large scale p2v, and we have several HUNDRED servers with oem, we need to convert them to VLK, can I reverse the process listed in the thread in here to fix it? I am about to try it, just wondering what other people have come up with? Thanks!
thats interesting! very interesting, so interesting, its worth calling and harrassing MS$ about, however it doesn't talk about converting the media type. however we have a datacenter vlk license, so we aren't worried about that at all, to make things interesting if any one figures this out I'll give them something they need (iso's or keys, whatever) Thanks!
as far as I know the process works visa-versa. Probably even easier since MS makes a script to change the VLK on a machine. So just write a script to change the files then have it call the VLK script microsoft provides and you should be good to go. This is one advantage of Server 2008 over 2003 is that there is no longer any lines between the product accepting one key over another.
