    Hi
Having read a few threads about Office 2007 and the recent OGA workarounds there appear to be so many ways of applying it.

What I wish to ask is...

    1) Which would be the best method to combat OGA for a completely clean install of Office 2007?

    2) Which would be the best method to combat OGA for an existing install...
    a) After OGA Check has been installed from Windows Update.
    and
    b) Before OGA Check has been installed from Windows Update.

Many thanks for your time and advice :)

The best thing to do is to download the Office 2007 Enterprise keygen. It's the one that looks like a blue MSN search bar.

But before you input the key, add the following line to your hosts file:

    127.0.0.1 mpa.one.microsoft.com

This will make the key activate against your own computer (the localhost) and OGA will give you the benefit of the doubt and declare your copy of Office as genuine.

Search google for the keygen and just search the Windows folder for the hosts file.

Let me know if you need instructions on changing the key on an existing installation.

Whether the OGA check has already been installed is irrelevant to this workaround. As long as you insert that line into the hosts file, Microsoft won't see the key from the keygen you subsequently use.

Hi ripee and thanks for your reply.

I have Office 2007 Enterprise and the keygen you mention.
On my desktop I already have Office 2007 installed using the keygen.
I have also downloaded the OGA check from Windows Update.
It gave me the "Non Genuine" message when I started any Office app. until I used the SupremoPhantom crack. I also tried another .exe crack on another machine (which I have never considered safe LOL). Both seem to work but I don't know what they have done to my machine so would rather use your method.
What have they installed and should I remove/reverse what they have added?
Nothing has been added to my Hosts file by either crack incidentally.

Please can yougive me instructions on how to change the key of Office 2007?

Do I definitely need to add the Hosts entry before installing Office 2007 or just ensure I do it before downloading the OGA check from Windows Update?

Are there any other modifications I need to do?

    Thanks again for your time.

I forgot to say that I am in the process of reinstalling everything from afresh on my laptop so in this instance I will be making a clean install of office 2007.

Do I follow the same procedure?

I've never heard of SupremoPhantom so I've only ever used Wga-Fix.exe. It basically adds the mpa.one line that I mentioned above.

Just be sure to add that line BEFORE you type in the key and install OGA.

I have downloaded the Office 2007 Keygen (the one with blue msn search bar) on so many sources. However, all were reported with virus/trojan by AVG Free.

From your experiences, is this only a false positive, or it does install some virus in your computer?

I have a question...I recently downloaded a pre-cracked copy of Office 2007 Pro Plus. It never asked for a serial and came pre-activated, but the problem is that I can't download any updates for Office. I attempted to install OGA and it didn't do anything. Tried both browsers and neither one did anything past installing the plugin. Is there any way to actually get OGM on my system so that I can start getting updates?

Or, additional question, can I set windows update to stop receiving Office updates completely? Because for all I care, as long as I can use word and powerpoint with no issues, updates don't matter to me.
