Team, I have a question, i'm downloading Office Professional Plus 2010 (x86) – (Italian) File Name: it_office_professional_plus_2010_x86_516138.exe SHA1: FF5A6ED3712766FEB130BF8187F01C42ACA590CD ISO/CRC: 7B8A3EF6 Can i activate it with mini kms or do i need something else ?
Well time to lend a hand those are the retail copies of office 2010 which don't support KMS sadly enough... The big ass files which are like 20 parts are the Volume copies which are needed I would recommend torrenting those thou...
Volume copies (select) versions can be found here and also on the net. As noted by smorgan, they can be activated quite easily, but do not know about the retail version. Considering the situation (expected hacks for retail version soon), I have done a system image prior to office 2010 install, installing office 2010. Office 2010 volume gives a 30 day grace period, which can perhaps be extended by rearms to a max of 150 days. That is a long time for now. Expect that retail version should have an activator soon, and perhaps kms method (applicable for volume versions) can be dispensed with.
However with the volume copy if a key is put in it can be extended to 180 day grace periods which are infinite... Still working on the auto hack as there was a problem with it...
why can't the mini-KMS activator activate a retail version? like volume licensing version, retail version also comes with a 30-day grace period. strange world.
i have no idea what you guys are talking 'bout ! please can sum1 make it easy and give a single to activate, its way too confusing for a noob like to search through a zillion activation methods posted in the repository.
You need to grasp the understanding of Volume Licensing (VL). VL is made for corporations and large organizations which will utilize a VL program on a massive scale or on an organization with 5 or more different computers. If a corporation were to buy retail copies of Office 2010 and if that corporation has 5,000 individuals who worked for them and who will utilize Office 2010 on a daily basis in the work environment, then the retail costs for 5,000 workers would be staggering. Or, let's bump the amount of workers from 5,000 to say, 5,000,000 workers such as AT&T. The cost for individual retail licenses for 5,000,000 people would be astronomical. However, by offering a volume license to an organization such as AT&T with 5,000,000 workers worldwide, it would cut down on costs. Why? Because Volume Licensed software is sold with ONE license for the entire organization verses selling 5,000,000 INDIVIDUAL licenses. It would be a nightmare for a large company such as AT&T to buy 5,000,000 individual licenses along with 5,000,000 individual Product Keys to activate Office 2010 when it is more cost effective and more efficient for a large company such as AT&T to buy ONE Volume License which comes with ONE Volume License Product Key to activate 5,000,000 Office 2010 products. I hope this clears up the confusion.
If you want it easy, buy a copy from Microsoft. Otherwise, read and learn. I'm sure everyone here at MDL would happily help answer of your specific problems.
