It simply might be not available (yet)

Anyway, i think this is quite interesting...
Office 1020 Starter might just be what I need, I do not need Access, OneNote, Outlook, Publisher, Powerpoint etc
Word, Excel and the PowerPoint Viewer (for occasional slideshow i receive in mail) are sufficient for my daily use.

How about the adverts? They don't bother you?

I do not know yet, maybe those can be defeated the same way as on Live Messenger (eg: Host file hack -> 127.0.0.1 rad.msn.com)

Not really, and with time I am sure some bright spark will remove them

    Cool ;)

Already got a older version of this from the last links that were posted up a while ago.

Just downloaded these updated ones now :)

    Thanks again.

This far found 2 hosts you should block in your Windows Host file, eg:

    Code:
    127.0.0.1rad.msn.com
    127.0.0.1rpt.msn.com
Seems to eliminate loading ads from remote server, still displays some (possibly pre-packed with the program)

But all of them down at the right corner? Not elsewhere?

Well I did something wrong. I installed all files into the listed directory and when I run Setup I get the following message.
    ---------------------------
    Microsoft Office Starter 2010
    ---------------------------
There was a problem setting up Microsoft Office Starter 2010:

This product must be installed to Q:. Ensure that Q: is unused and try again.

Yes I have no Q: drive. Any help would be great. Thanks

Thanks I will try that now. Still have the same install problem. Could the xml files be the problem. When I downloaded them it opened up Iexplorer then I saved the from there.

Downloaded with both firefox and IDM with the same results. Must not like my computer.

I used IDM to download all the files. Try Firefox or Opera etc and download the files one more time.

Downloaded with both firefox and IDM with the same results. Must not like my computer. I figured it out. My Scandisk card reader had the Q: as one of it's drive letters. Unplugged it and it installed fine. I replugged it back in and now has different drive letters and Starter works fine. It created a virtual Q: drive on my computer.
    Thanks for helping out.
