I am using original Windows 8 on my Desktop and laptop. Office 2013 is also installed on both activated using Phone method.
I upgraded Windows 8 on desktop to 8.1 was able to retain office 2013 activation.

Whereas on my laptop when I upgraded to Windows 8.1 its asking me to activate office 2013.

Using system image have switched back to Windows 8 with office 2013 fully activated. Please guide a method by which I can back up / carry forward my office 2013 activation from 8 to 8.1.

I though the Token manager was not really working with Windows 8.1.

I am in the same boat.
I installed Office 2013 and used a MAK or retail key and phone activation.
I just upgraded to win 8.1 without issues
But then was offered the new Office service pack and that killed the activation.
If i did not know better i think the key i used is now blacked listed.

Oh, I to installed office on two PC with the same key and one is not working, but have not taken the office update after win 8.1 upgrade on the other PC that office is still working on.

Hope i can switch to a KMS method without a full reload.
