    Hi,

I have a valid copy of Windows 8 that came with my laptop.

However I was trying to activate MS Office 2013 the other day using Windows Toolkit 2.4.3, and I'm not sure if I accidentally used the Windows activation rather than the Office activation, but my Windows 8 license now says I only have a month until expiry.

Is there any way to reverse this process and get my original Windows 8 license back?

    Quite concerned!

Any help that anyone can give me is very much appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Jamie

Ah, but the problem is that Retail keys aren't provided with Windows 8? Acer said "I would like to inform you that product key will not be provided separately for the Windows 8 operating system units. So there will not be any COA label underneath the computer. Product key is electronically saved in BIOS."

I've tried Belarc advisor to get the license key, but that's just giving me the license key which the KMS activator has provided it seems, and not my actual license key :(

    Thanks,
    Jamie

run RW-Everthing to get your key from the machine bios. Note: check the "How to get OEM serial from MSDM table"

in a command prompt (as admin) type
    Code:
    slmgr.vbs /upk
to remove the key that is in your system now. Then enter the key you got from RW-Everything in a command prompt (as admin) type
    Code:
    slmgr.vbs /ipk Your-Product-Key
Then activate, or just remove the current key, try to activate it will ask for a key and then enter your key from RW-Everything.

EFA11, thank you so much. That worked perfectly

Couldn't find a solution like that anywhere online, so really grateful that you were around to help.
