office 2013 and windows xp

    can some hacks/cracks be used to instal ms office 2013 on windows xp

    if it's about system requirements... how about trying to run it on Linux using Wine / CrossOver? SysReqs could be lower than for Win7

    I also would be pleased to run Office 2013 on pretty "old" UMPC where XP is just less battery hungry

    you can try a VM Machine inside of windows XP, and the VM machine of course would have to be running one of the supported OSes, thats about the only way that i know of that would work.

    No go. Visual Studio 2012 stopped supporting XP. It's only with an update that they added v110_xp target.

    So, if you compile your software with a compiler that uses libraries, which need at least NT 6.0, you are out of luck for XP. Anyhow, running a 2012 software on a 2001 OS seems 11 years out of place...
