Office 2013 & OneNote 2013: With and/ or without Microsoft ID/ Account?

    Office 2013 & OneNote 2013: With and/ or without Microsoft ID/ Account?

    I seem to be seeing that by default this is what it wants to do.

    For starters, I do not wish to have any connect with Microsoft online accounts.

    If, when later I feel like I want to SYNC and upload "some" of my One Note Books (and maybe some other Office documents) I'd like to have some control over it.

    Is there a place where this is clearly defined?

    PS: Also, is the License / Office Activation connected to machine or MS account? Especially when we use MS Toolkit to Activate it?
