Office 2013 Pro Plus VL not installing metro version on Windows 8 Professional

    So I grabbed Office 2013 Pro Plus and installed it, however when I go in to metro and click an tile it boots me to the desktop version and not the metro version. My boss at work has the metro version and he installed the same way.

    Anyone want to give me a hand?

    My understanding is that Office 2013 is not run in the metro interface. There are a couple apps from the Microsoft Store (like OneNote) that are special apps made to run in the metro interface. That may be what you are seeing on your boss' machine.

    Mind you that the Office suite is Microsoft's mother lode; therefore I presume they eventually preferred desktop usability to ideological debility... so no "Windows Modern UI".
