Hi guys, I understood that: Office 2016 Professional => RETAIL only (source) Office 2016 Professional Plus => VL only (source) Wikipedia confirms: Professional: This retail suite includes the core applications, as well as Outlook, Publisher and Access.[22] Professional Plus: This suite, only available through volume licensing channels, includes the core applications, as well as Outlook, Publisher, Access and Skype for Business.[24] Soooo.... how is it possible that I installed from it_office_professional_plus_2016_x86_x64_dvd_6968755 (SHA1: 40F27A74FF8457A7220A78D602DAC916A9CA40FE) and now I see a RETAIL PROFESSIONAL PLUS? cscript "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office16\OSPP.VBS" /dstatus ---Processing-------------------------- --------------------------------------- PRODUCT ID: 00346-40000-00000-AA899 SKU ID: 70d9ceb6-6dfa-4da4-b413-18c1c3c76e2e LICENSE NAME: Office 16, Office16ProPlusR_Grace edition LICENSE DESCRIPTION: Office 16, RETAIL(Grace) channel BETA EXPIRATION: 01/01/1601 LICENSE STATUS: ---OOB_GRACE--- ERROR CODE: 0x4004F00C ERROR DESCRIPTION: The Software Licensing Service reported that the application is running within the valid grace period. Thanks for your help.
ProPlus can be both: retail or volume The only KMS solution which can activate both is KMSpico, on other KMS solutions you have to convert to vl first. SW_DVD5_Office_Professional_Plus_2010w_SP1_64Bit_English_CORE_MLF_X17-76756.ISO = VL x64 SW_DVD5_Office_Professional_Plus_2010w_SP1_W32_English_CORE_MLF_X17-76748.ISO = VL x86 en_office_professional_plus_2016_x86_x64_dvd_6962141.iso = Retail x86/x64
Thanks for your reply, I really appreciate it. I couldn't fact-check your statement. Could you please provide your source?
The source of what? I just showed the ISO names and what channel they are. OK, thanks! Still, I cannot understand why, if ProPlus retail exists, it's not show on Microsoft Store next to the other retail editions! Moreover: the Wikipedia entry is plain wrong, and there is now way to fix it since there isn't an official reference.
You must always fact-check Enthousiast's statements, sometimes he makes things up to confuse n00bs jk
I always try to fact-check EVERYTHING, especially when the statement seems to contradict every other info I found out there

In your reply in post #9 you used "File Identifier" by Inge. I can't seem to find it searching Google. Do you have a link please?
Retail and Volume channels for ProPlus exist for 2010 and 2013 likewise, so it's nothing new . The Click2Run versions of 2016 including ProPlus are meant to be Retail only but can be converted to Volume.
If you're desperate for a reference, go to the Microsoft Home Use Program (microsofthup.com) and look at the FAQ. ProPlus retail has always been the version offered through HUP for home use.
