Can anyone explain to me why volume versions are more preferable than retail? Microsoft Toolkit allows to convert an installed retail product to volume. To be more specific, would it be any advantages downloading MICROSOFT.VISIO.PROFESSIONAL.2013.RTM.(64.32).VOLUME.ENGLISH.DVD-MSVLSC (from this thread) instead of en_visio_professional_2013_x86_x64_dvd_1134691.iso (available on torrent networks for long time)?
AFAFIK, that was the old version. That feature is disabled in newer versions due to various problems.
It's a lot more f**king about downloading the stuff you need then converting ISOs etc rather than just downloading the VL copy IMO. Like while I was browsing these threads trying to work out what the hell to do & find active links etc I started downloading the VL from usenet. 20 minutes later it's all installed and activated... the conversion files download from a crippled free upload site was still going!
If you are paranoid, let's say you perform sha-1 checksum. Let's say it's identical to the one you have seen on MS VLSC. So you are calm and you can't wait to install office 2013 VL. But one day you find out what hash collision is. And your paranoia starts again So if you have problems with it, buy it.
