Tried that, still getting the same office error during the installation. When i try to download office from microsoft directly now im getting the error too LOL, so i can't download Office at all.
Thanks, I was already using a clean install in a VM. All Office 2021 installations come with the new UI by default. Would be nice if there was a way to switch back via the registry.

Hello all. I once installed perpetual office2019VL with this tool, and version was 16.0.10382.20010 x86 Perputual. Activation was OK, but I got "update problem", file-account-update" shows "Your version is the latest" though the latest is 16.0.10382.20034 today !! What happeded to this perpetual office2019VL ? I have no idea. Could you give me a clue for solving this issue ?
I have a guess that i want to check it with you. maybe update channel is current and you install 2019 VOLUME ? you can try change update channel via Office(R)Tool update please.
