Hello to all, I have tried build 7000 (for me they are all fake by Microsoft...) but me it has honestly not seemed better of the 6956, indeed exact the opposite one! A doubt rises me; the true beta of 7 has more versions of the system? Home basic, Home Premium etc?
this build 7000 has all this version inside, but so far I don't know how I can choose which one version I can install.
I'am install this DVD at 2 computer and I don't see the options where I can choose which one version I can install. Can you be more specific how I can choose the version?
I don't think you can choose - at least nobody has been able to yet. I suspect when the final version is released, the key will determine what version is installed, just as it did w/Vista.
Theres probably a CD Key in the "Boot.wim" for the Ultimate version. If you don't enter a CD Key is defaults to that one. If you have a Home Premium Key and enter it, it will install that instead. But thats just a guess.
I used the key provided with the winbeta repack, same result as with nokey, and is not activated. But yeah maybe your right, but on vista the choice still remained, you just had to install the version you had a key for or am i wrong?
I think all Vista DVDs had all the versions - I don't think there was an install option - I think the key determined that. Bottom line - Win 7 beta is the Ultimate version, as was Vista beta, if I recall correctly. We'll all have to suffer through it.
See im very sure i had the option to choose which version with vista on install, i might be wrong but im pretty sure the copy i used had an option. The copy however came with many keys for each version and you had to use the right key for the version you choose. PS: the vista copy i am talking about was not beta...
What happened to the other 3 or 4 versions of Windows you were running ? And have you done with those hard drives.
