    Hey guys,
I have been lurking for quite some time and I have a question.

My setup is an "ancient" Dell Dimension 4600 with:
    -400W Saga PSU
    -nVidia GeForce 7600 OC'd to Core-551MHz and Memory-400MHz
-3.4 GHz Prescott Pentium 4 (Sadly prescotts require more voltage than Northwoods)

The overclock to the GPU is relatively recent but other than that, I have been running this setup for over a year (I know it's crappy but it's all I have). My problem though is upon booting a message appears "Alert! The processor is not supported on this system, and will run at a reduced speed."

The P4 has been running at about 2.8GHz fine for a long time, but I was wondering if there is a BIOS Mod that will let me get the full potential out of the processor. Or does this motherboard simply not have the required voltage this processor needs?

I am just trying to get the most performance out of the crappy system I own.

    Thanks.

Sorry but wrong forum the bios modifications done here are mostly to do with activation i,e, adding SLP or SLIC.

    I realized that after posting.
I'm very sorry and will search for my answer elsewhere.

    Take care.
