Grandson has a machine with 2x SLI Dual (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570 1.2GB) graphics cards. He is asking me for a EVGA GeForce GTX 680 SC Signature2/Dual Fan/2048MB GDDR5 Dual Dual-Link DVI/mHDMI/DP/SLI Graphics Card (02G-P4-2687-KR) for Christmas. I think this is probably not a good idea. How about some opinions from some experts (or at least some who know more than I do!). Thanks jetjock
I was also wondering how could Nvidia jump from recently launched 6xx series to 8xx series in a space of a few months at most. Anyway, I thought 670 was somewhat better than 680 but perhaps that was not true. 690 is supposed to be at the top??
