I just followed your steps, i did i restore of the removewatt, microsoft security essentials gave a virus pop-up block i ran the clean. Then i restart my pc. Run the 1.8 loader first pressed unistall then restart and pressed Install then went to the genuine website. still get the error what did i do wrong?

That's right bud, open the file in notepad as admin (important), remove that line and save the file. Now try to validate again
