    Hello all,

I am looking for a open source system/tool that will allow me to work remotely on a PC whether it's XP, Vista, Win7, or Mac OSX.
Can anyone suggest a tool to use or where to look for one?
thank you for your help and ideas. :)

urie, do not take everything personally
My remark was to the original poster, where "to work remotely on a PC" does NOT mean VPN

TeamViewer is the way to go. Add it to the WIndows startup and done. It's one of the fastest client out there. You can use Real VNC but be aware lots of hackers target it and lots are successful.

    my apologies

    hello all,
I apologize for cross posting as being new to the forum, I thought thats what I needed to do. As for VPN and remote working on PC's...I am new to Networking Sebus and do not mean frustrate you or anyone in my mis-use of terms. I am frantically trying to learn here thru the forum. I again apologize for it and will try to make sure I use correct statements in the future. I do appreciate greatly everyones help, suggestions and patience with me. thank you all very much again.

    SpeedYdr,
Is there anything I can do to reduce the risk from the hackers? Sorry if my terms are in-correct. I appreciate your advice and help
