Has anyone else had the same frustrating issue as me ? I am unable to play any opengl based games at all. They always freeze up/crash after 5mins (sometimes sooner)

Any apps which use the openGL renderer do the same thing.

I previously had an geforce 8800GTS but I replaced it today with a 9800 GT and it hasnt fixed it ! :(

I am running on the latest nvidia wqhl certified drivers (190.38). It usually crashes out with the dreaded "nvlddmkm stopped responding" message but other times it hard locks the machine and it requires a reset.

Note: no issues whatsoever with Direct3D

Yeah i have Issues With my GTX285 too!!! Not Too Much But it's Annoying
We will Have to wait Until Invidia Release more Drivers Or A Fix From Micro**ft

I need To investigate a bit more on Other Games Cause Not All Games Do that as As You Said Direct3D is Fine!! For Now!!!!!

    GTS250 & GTX295 - both by asus - here, everything ok.
Check your hw (expecially ram) -> check your settings if you OC.

thats what i thought when i was getting D3D freezing between my AK77-600GN and Geforce 5900. OpenGL worked fine. It can ALWAYS be hardware.
